Stalker - Call of Pripyat benchmark results:

available preset options (lowest to highest): minimum, low, medium, high, extreme, or ultra

    "moderate-low" advanced options settings used:
    - MSAA = 2x
    - MSAA for A-tested objects = DX 10.0 style (standard)
    - SSAO mode = Default
    - SSAO Quality = Medium
    - Use DX 10.1 = Disabled

    "moderate-high" advanced options settings used:
    - MSAA = 2x
    - MSAA for A-tested objects = DX 10.0 style (standard)
    - SSAO mode = HBAO
    - SSAO Quality = High
    - Use DX 10.1 = Disabled

DX11 + tessellation gave the best visual results.

Using all of the highest possible advanced options resulted in unacceptably low frame rates, even with the maximum overclock.

Good things come to those who wait (Heinz '57)....
I'll be posting two more benchmarks later tonight.
    Sorry for the delay.

I'll also have some possible VRM heatsink solutions that might help with a higher stable gpu overclock to 930 - 940MHz.

MSI AfterBurner OSD (on screen display) was used to monitor frame rates.

    850 x 4000 -- 34.6 (1600x900) ----- 28.6 (1920x1080)
    900 x 4000 -- 36.2 (1600x900) ----- 29.8 (1920x1080)

The attached photo shows the VRMs on the MSI 460 Hawk video card. The easiest way to cool these would probably be to use two of the Enzotech forged copper MOS-C1 heatsink kits. A few high end GTX 460 cards come with O.E.M. VRM heatsinks. It's unlikely that these heatsinks would fit the Hawk due to different component layouts on many cards.

I'm going to remove the Hawk's fans and stock gpu heatsink to measure the VRM dimensions and clearences and see if I can find some heatsinks locally that can be modified to fit on the Hawk card. Once I've installed the new VRM heatsinks along with the stock gpu cooling setup, I'll perform some extended overclock tests using the Heaven 2.1 benchmark as a stress test.

***EDIT*** The 12mm height of the MOS-C1 heatsinks might be too tall, we'll see....

Ill post some benchmarks tonight too. For comparison reasons. Since Im running an E8400 @ 4.0Ghz.

My current rig / settings are in my signature. Only difference is, I have the Hawk Talon Attack model. Which comes at 810Mhz core and slightly faster memory.

PJ: Perhaps it would be nice to do some RT graphs too on some of the benchies, so we can see cpu vs gpu utilization and temps.

Like this one I did running 3dmV: done with aida64 plugin and rt ofcourse

    Darkje,
What is the name of the "RT" program that generates the hardware monitoring graph?

Oh sorry for that :) I meant RivaTuner. I'm not sure it will do all the graphs with the aida64 trail version. Thinking of it, maybe it was a bad idea, because beside aida not being freeware, RT was not updated for a while and don't know if it will work with 460.

If you could get it to work RT can generate nice graphs, reporting on almost any sensors aida(and many others) can read, but maybe it's not that easy to configure...
