Heres to a stable system setup folks  to Darthtanion, Morgan Lander, and Wiggo.

I am positive that the problem lies in the PSU. I tried numerous tests with 2700 mem for 4 days. Today I detached the standard 300w which I think just couldn't cut the mustard. My EG465P-VE(FCA) replaces it. Meet AMD K7 full requirements. It seems that the old PSU couldn't meet new regulations and keep a stable voltage through the +3.3v and +5v rails with my hardware intensive setup. My processor is happily ticking over at 1735mhz. No system hangs whatsoever.
I am nothing else but a happy bunny

Now there is one problem to solve.
