Love that blue LED fan !

That card does look bad-a$$, prolly the best 9800 variant I have seen so far. The only thing I have a problem with on all of these "showy" video cards is, that the fun looking part is faced down, so it's very hard to see when installed. I think the Apogee has a clearly viewable light show on it's top, which faces the onlooker when the card is installed. Smart move on Chaintech's part. Still and all, that's a tight looking 9800. :)

    ATi Radeon 9800 Pro 256mb $549.00 USD

E^vol, International version (End of March), USA/CAN version (End of April)
IMHO Hercules offer, 1. Best looking ATi powered cards, 2. Very good quality, 3. Good driver support

Personally, I'm going to wait for the R350 256mb version or the NV35, they're only a few months away now.

Same here ! Actually, the wife and I just bought a brand new house, so I'm going to have to wait (at least until summer) so that we can afford to install gutters / lights / etc... But once all that has been done, it'll be video card time....

Iīll wait that 256Mb version too! I think if I buy that, it will be good enough for 1,5-2 years. (hopefully  ) :D :D

PS. I think the price will be quite high with these 22% Finnish taxes! :( (itīs expensive enough even without the taxes!!!)

Besides, wasn't that rumor about UT2003 having an Ultra High setting put to rest because it would require more than 128mb of video ram just to be able to store/use all the textures that would be used up with that level of detail ?
Which brings me to my next point....DOOM 3 !!! was said to use a minimum of 96mb+ for textures alone...
So having 256mb on your vid card will be nessesary very soon if you want to run high graphics on the new generation of games coming out in the near future ? :2cents:
