Ok, so I was gonna buy a 9700 pro, (all of you know that by now), but check this:

My birthday is in a few days, and my parents gave me $200,00, so I can reach the budget of $500,00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    WHAT SHOULD I DO????????

    I have a XP 2000+ box, and a MSI KT3 Ultra 2 (ms 6380), and 2 sticks of 256 of 266 DDR

    Option 1:
I wait till the lunch of the all mighty RADEON 9800 256, running under my current system.

    Option 2:
I upgrade my CPU, with a XP 2700+ box, and buy the 9700 pro

What Žll be my best option??????????? If I put my money in my 9800 pro 256, then, with time, the CPU will become cheaper and cheaper, but if I buy a 9700 pro, then, in a year IŽll have to upgrade it again........

What will be the best choice for the overall performance in Doom III and such???????????

Thanks all of you for your pacience!!!!!!!

"and 2 sticks of 256 of 266 DDR" might stop you from overclocking, at least with an intel i dont know too much about AMD but i assume the same applies

It starts to ship in late may. But, it wont be in mass until June, so hold off and get even more money. Ive seen reports for it beeing up to 600.00 dollars though.

    Over here
at ComputerHQ, they have perorders for it (ignore the printer). But, they are really over-priced. Yesterday, i was looking aroung pricewatch, and i found UpgradeSource
    . There really-really-REALLY cheap (already 9800's are at 375.00$$$).
