I'm tired but on a role. If I quit now this is how my very new page looks. <a href="http://www.angelfire.com/art2/twizlzone/" target="_blank"><img src="http://www.angelfire.com/art2/twizlzone/wink.gif"></a>
Most everthing I learned in here!
<br>If I keep going I'll probably _uck it up.(forget to save or something?) and lose everything.
But as it stands, this is it. I know it does'nt look like much, but so far it's the best one I've ever done.
I won't show you the ones before.
One thing I have learned. Yahoo pages SUCK. I did this one 1000x faster and 1000x better.
I Finally found the right places for me!!! .......To build and to help 2 learn!
    <br> How is this people?:smokin:

sorry to sound negative - but I find the font on the text difficult to read. generally for text, arial or some non-serif/unicode text is easiest to read when clumped together in large bunches.
    nice pictures/animations. :thumb:

Actually I don't find that negative. I am learning.
I have learned that not everyone has the same font's as I, and that makes a difference.
I am still trying to find a font that is both pleasing to myself as to others aswell. I prefer gaze and/or beachtype, but guess I still need to find one in compramize to all. (this part I'm finding sucks) Colors I'm still working out aswell. Don't want to much clash, but not too suddle either.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe these fonts are available on most any standard installation of most flavors of Windows.
Courier New (TrueType, including Bold, Italic, and Bold Italic variations)
Arial (TrueType, including Bold, Italic, and Bold Italic variations)
Times New Roman (TrueType, including Bold, Italic, and Bold Italic variations)
    Symbol (TrueType)
    Wingdings (TrueType)
    MS Serif
    MS Sans Serif

If you use any other fonts, you just takes your chances - it might be viewed in that font, and then again - it might not.

Of course most modern browsers do also allow the user to provide a style sheet to display webpages in any font the user choose.

Fonts are a real jungle, non-windows OSs use entirely different font sets.
Best bet; keep it simple. If you rely heavily on fonts to make your point, or lend style to a site it is just going to wind up being completely lost on a lot of surfers. They just won't see any of the hard work you went to to create the fancy stuff.

I'm not trying to dampen creative talent here, just want you to know that the final product is going to be lost if fonts are relied on for much of the sites form.
Fonts are best used for function, as in - relating information.
When used for form, they will suffer greatly.

Have fun with your fonts by all means! Just don't expect anyone else to appreciate it, truth is, they will probably have no idea what you did.

Well if that list ain't 100% it's close enough to show text restrictions for 90% of PC's around the Pommy speakin' countries (no matter how much it gets mangled). :devil win

One idea is to Copy n Paste your HTML into a new Notepad file - then remove all the style designators from your FONT commands.
Just delete all the "beachhouse", Times New Roman, etc. etc.
Save it as an HTML and open it in your browser.

This will give you a bit clearer picture as to how the rest of the world is seeing your site TwizlZone. (provided of course, that your browser is configured to display default fonts instead of your own CSS.)
