I'm working on a home theater PC, and would like to draw upon the vast experience here regarding what hardware I will need. I know I'll need a video capture card, but is it necessary to buy one with a GPU, or would I be better off getting separate cards to have TV-in, Video-out, etc...? I already have a mATX mobo with onboard GeForce4 MX graphics which is adequate for the intended purpose, but if I can combine a GPU upgrade with the TV/Video functions for little more money, that's cool too. The board has an AGP 8X slot. I'll need a remote, and bundled software is critical too, especially for digital VCR functions. OK, let 'er rip!

Think I figured it out....I want to go with the ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 9000.....has all the sweet software, remote, TV tuner, and a GPU just under a GeForce4 Ti4200.....for about the same cost as a Ti4200. That'll upgrade the graphics, free up the shared system memory, and allow me to use faster DDR400...The only other choice I really have is a 9700 non-Pro or a Pro....for $200 more :(
