I like your style. If you got a little bit extra to spend, then I would seriously consider a DVD burner instead of a DVD-ROM. They are dropping in price, and well worth the investment in my opinion.

    There's a newer Liteon burner out, 52x32x52

And don't get Liteon DVD player, it's spin up and spin down times are crap which makes access times very poor. Get a Pioneer DVD drive.

I would seriously consider some better speakers if you are going to spend $200 on a sound card, I would have better speakers than $100 ones to properly to get use of the card. Klipsch are some nice ones for around $300.
I would also look at picking up a 19in. LCD. The viewable would be like having a 21in. CRT. They go from around $650 on up...

Ok the error i made on the liteon was just a typo, the price was for the 52x32x52. And i am looking into a DVD-R. SO my total is about $2400. How much does a nice cooling system and fans cost. Also run by all the little things i will need in addition, like USB drives and extra wires. List all additional needed items.

    THanks

If you good with good ol' air as you cooling system, go with the Volcano 7+ (with some Artic Silver 3 thermal Paste) and many case fans as your case allows. Which in turn leads to getting a decent case..not just any crap out there for 20 bucks. Invest is a case that has good spots for intake and exhaust fans. Get your self some Sunon 80mm case fans which sell about 5 bucks and spin at 2900 rpms and have a decent amount of CFM.

Also since you will have a decent air cooling system ...basic ribbin ide cables will be prevent circulation... so invest in some round cables..they look cool and help in cooling. they range from 8 to 12 bucks. Remember with ide cables DO NOT get anything longer than 18 inches.

yeah, the 680s with an Audigy 2 do work well ;)

Also, where flaco mentioned rounded cables, with SATA drives you don't have to worry about that so much, although you'll still need 1 IDE cable for your optical drives.

Maybe I'm just too pragmatic, but I'd reconsider that all clear acrylic case. If you live in any sort of dusty environment (For example, the planet Earth) you'll be constantly cleaning that case. Oh, it'll look cool for the first month or so, but as anyone with even a clear window can attest, acrylic statically collects dust. Also, you'll need to assemble it wearing white cotton gloves, as any fingerprints left inside the case will show bigtime. An all aluminum, or a steel case with a kewl paintjob is gonna cool better and look better for longer, and lends itself better to mods you may need to do later. As far as the parts, you're on the right track, IMHO...

Not to discourage you from getting one.

Although I thought I would add that I have read a FEW reviews where the guy putting it together cracked the case just by screwing the case together.
They aren't exactly something that you can go about being a little rough with at ALL.
Acrylic is extremely sensitive to static, it will pick up a lot from the magnetic fields created in the PSU, which can't be controlled. It is also VERY brittle.

I personally picked up a 3 window case to get the best of both worlds. It is an extremely nice case. Probably the best layed out, and overall best design I have EVER worked with in 10+ years of building computers. Although the company just quit production on it and went to a new design. So they are getting a little hard to get. I KNOW I got the last black/w gold accents out there!

Just a little extra info to help you out.
Acrylic cases are nice for those who really like them. You just have to put up with extra dust bunnies sticking to the case all over, and be careful anytime you are working with it.
