Paper? That's old school. They use cardboard now! It's stronger.. ;)

ok..........so you would rather have a crappy ass radeon than a very good performing geforce just because the word is "cooler"...

what brand ar u planning on getting?

i have a leadtek fx 5600 (non ultra) tat is. heatsink and fan cover both sides and i guess is an ok cooling sorce.

i can get a 10-20% OC before i witness some frezzes.

my avg UT2003 score is at 80 fps, which is already enough fo any human eye.

i go with the fx5600, but i would recommend u get a brand that has good cooling (for example, the msi is bad cause only comes with Fan, and ram doedsnt get the cooling it needs with OCing)

go with radeon if u need to savethat few extra bucks. U can use that extra bucks to get a better cooling (like zalman heatpipe cooler) and OC a bit more so u get better performace.
My new gaming rig..

asus a78nx-deluxe
2x256mb pc 3200 ddr 400.(with cooling)
athlon Xp 2500+ ( at 200x10=2000mhz .)
seagate 80gb 8mb SATA
Tt vlocano 7+ cpu cooling
Clear case from HK.
Leaktek fx5600 128mb
enermax 350w PSU
wireless internet setup

He already made the decision. Alittle late :). But i would still go with the Radeon because it OCs higher, cheaper, and it is overall better than the 5600 in my opinion. : peace2:

Do you have links to prove this? The Ultra version usually beats it in the benchmarks...

He was deciding from a 5600 (regular) and a radeon 9600..Because he is exchanging the 5600 for the radeon 9600... and smokey was talking about "5600 (non ultra)" and i was refering to that
