Hey, I was just wondering, does anyone have any suggestions for good, quiet cases? Not like, taking an Antec AMG1080 and putting all stealth fans in it. I mean like, cases that are marketed for silent enthusiasts. Thx alot! : peace2: Mista K6

    there is this one: http://www.antec-inc.com/pro_details...p?ProdID=15138

but there things you can do to almost any case to make it silent. Such as adding acustic foam, rubber washers, silent fans, etc...

Well, I know this is heresy in these forums :p, but when I build my next system, I'm really looking into silent, small, good looking cases. True, I wont o/c much if at all, but it will look and sound awesome, ya know? but thx for the reply, : peace2: Mista K6

Thx for the sites. They make alot of nice cases, but, wow, I really like the look, design, and style of the Sonata, I havent seen anything I like more (the GMC X-21 is nice too, but I dont think I can get one here in America w/o insane shipping costs). For $85, it's really nice. : peace2: Mista K6

Mista K6: Antec's Sonata is a superb case. Zalman do a great "silent" case as well, but it costs a fortune.

Well, I'm going with the sleek office look for my next PC, not the disfigured freak of computing I have now (I'll get some pics, its worth a good laugh). Tentatively, I wanted it to be an AMD 64 FX w/ 1 GB RAM, a 9800 XT PCI-Express, dual WD Raptors, a DVD Burner/ROM and a CD-RW. Of course, I really couldnt overclock, but it'd be quiet as anything. And as far as I'm concerned, if it's the best for the price, and you say so weta, then its golden :thumb: . Thx, : peace2: Mista K6

Mista K6: There's a possibility that PCI-Express motherboards will be manufactured to the BTX format, this type of motherboard will not fit in the current Sonata (ATX) case.

In the spring I plan on selling my rig and going Prescott 2.8 / NV45 / PCI Express. I am counting on buying an ATX board as I don't think BTX will be in full swing yet. If it is, I am sure they will offer both solutions.

Soulburner: As I said it is a possibility, but I cannot see the point of creating a new format that provides improved cooling for PCI-Express cards and then not using it.
