if u have 200-300 dollars left, u can concerder watercooling. Good watercooling kits can be bought at around that price.like the danger dan maze 4 wc kit.

if u dont want to spend that much, air cooling is ok too for some OC but it will be more noisy. I like the thermalrigt SLK-900 cause the price is good, and the copper heatsink is well designed. To go with the SLK-900 i would get a 92mm vantec tornado. the tornado has a CFM of 135!! thatz very good, but also very loud. thatz y u should make or buy a fan controller.

get a alumium case if u ar goingto want acool case. Acrylic i found has a higher case tempature. i like cheifec dragons with window on teh side and top fan mod. case fans should get the heat out as much as possible. look for good quialty brand fans taht will do goodCFM but wont make u def.

for RAID< u need a RAID card if ur mobo doesnt included it. if ur mobo has intergrated raid, then when u boot to POST, there will be a setup screen to let u setup for RAID. it is very simple, just follow the steps

A true 9800 Pro or are you getting the 9800NP and flashing it into a Pro? I'm guessing the 9800 is going to be from NewEgg? They had them for $243, it's a tempting deal for my new computer considering they are only $43 more than a 9600 XT.

Yeah but I found out today its not the same card they used to sell. It still shows the red 9800, and the description is ATI Sapphire 9800 Non Pro, but reports from everyone that has got one says they received a black PCB card with Etrontech 2.8 memory. Basically the same thing as their $300 9800 Pro with the black 9700 PCB, but underclocked and with cheaper RAM.

Does anyone else make a 9800 NP?

You can get a 9800NP Retail from Circuit City for $250, but I don't know what kind of memory it uses....hopefully Samsung.

    http://www.circuitcity.com/detail.js...&catoid=-10266

Just click "Add to Cart" and it shows it at $249.99.

Hm i'll have to head over there to check it out. That looks like the real ATI deal. :thumb:

They must just have some still in stock because I was under the impression ATI stopped selling the cards due to everyone getting a Pro card for $100 less.
