If anyone has suggestions or better ideas than these components please let me know. Within same range please.
    Asus P4P800 Deluxe
    P4 2.6 800FSB
    Crucial PC3200 DDR400 2X256
    ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 128

I am most interested in the CPU/Motherboard selection.
    Thanks

If ya goin' to overclock that sucker then I'd get PC3700-PC4000 plus I'd go for a 2.4C instead of the 2.6C (oh I already have) but if not then go for it.

Thank you for all your answers. I really like this site for its
organization and clear responses by the members.
I think I will go with Wiggos idea, since anyone that has a beer for an avatar must have a good idea of whats going on.

PC3200 or 3500 with fast timings of 2-2-2-5 with a 5:4 divider and high FSB will beat any memory 3700 or 4000 with crap timings 1:1.

If I keep the same harddrive I have now, will it create problems since it is a retail drive pre-installed. I have XP and would like to keep it but do not want to have to buy it again. Or can I just use the drive as is.
    Thanks

Well ya could use that hard drive but ya'd have to format it and reinstall Windows again as Windows will cough up a furball badly with different hardware.
