I'd change the mobo for an nForce2 based one from a tier 1 manufactuer (Abit, ASUS or EPoX) and change the memory to 2 x 256MB modules.

nForce2 boards with Dual Channel RAM really smoke VIA chipset based boards. Make sure you get the 2600+ rated at 1.91Ghz and NOT the one at 2.08Ghz. The former has 640K total cache, where as the latter only has 384K. The bigger the cache, the better the performance. Also, if you get the DDR400 RAM, you should o/c the processor to those speeds, for a tremendous performance boost. If you arent planning on overclocking, then just get normal DDR333 RAM and dont waste your money. Good luck with your new system, : peace2: Mista K6
    Modified Dell 8200 Case:
    -400MHz FSB i850 Intel mobo
    -P4 Williamette Socket 478, 1.9GHz
    -768MB 16-bit PC800 RDRAM
    -MSI GF4 Ti4200 128MB @ 284/581
    -7200 RPM Maxtors: 60GB (2MB) on mobo and 160GB (8MB) on ATA/133 PCI Card
-Creative Inspire T7700 7.1 Speaker System on an Audigy 2
    -Windows XP Home Edition SP2
