    g'days.

I'm currently on a quest to seek out a tv-tuner card that will enable me to view television on my CRT monitor (Sony G420)
and also allow me to connect a console gaming system. (red, yellow, white inputs :D)

I have found two media cards that i feel are worthy,

    BUT

does anyone with greater multimedia knowledge suggest something that they beleive is better or even give their input on these two products.

    Any help is much appreciated.

Personally, I'd stay away from the USB box. From what I've seen, they aren't up to the standard that the internal PCI cards are.

but they are so neat and portable, and out of the way.

Yet, currently on my desk its a little crowded, camera crap :/
scanner, pocket pc dock, printer. I need a larger desk!

But i guess i will head your words with great attention, beefy is hardly wrong.

Though there was that one time..

...at band camp? :) I'm wrong a lot. It's just what I've seen, that's all.. There could well be some good USB units out there.

    Heya andy,

I was looking at both links, but maybe, it was because
i am really tired, or it maybe, that i cannot see what
i am looking for,but what is the difference between
    the cards. ??

From a guess, it looks like the Expert has Audio In via the little dongle thing, whereas the Deluxe doesn't...

    From what i've heard:
Expert is supposed to have Stereo Sound, While the Deluxe has mono.
Expert is supposed to have Teletext, while deluxe doesn't (although i can access it with my deluxe).
Other than that, from what i can gather, it sthe same. I've also checked the pages... can't say they are exactly helpful :-\

IF you do decide to buy either of these cards, the drivers/PVR software on the CD may not work/work properly(as I and others have experienced), if they don't work properly, get the latest drivers and PVR software from here
