Then that would mean Doom 3 does not use OGL 2.0.

But why not? It has to....theres no way in hell you can get a game looking that damn good, best ever in the history of gaming, without a breakthrough in technology which would come in the form of a new API with new features...

Thanks maximus7001, for the link to the case. I like it even though it is a bit flashy for me. I like the fans. I would like a cool running system and as quite as I can make it. Also I think I might want a bigger power supply. But I wont be able to buy until February 15.

And for video editing. I was told it woulld be handy to have two monitors but I don't want to get too far away from the gaming system. Dad's need to have fun too. LOL

    Thanks
    Marc

Well you can have 2 monitors and still be a gamer....video editing on one and the game on the other.....the thing is you just gotta do some research to get the right video card so you can set that up. Just a thought.

SiS755 is an AMD K8 chipset.

What do you mean by "3G". I think you might be referring to A64 3000+? That's 2Ghz...

admittedly im lazy , but thats thier rating 3000 so i say 3g . also i looked up the 9700 ati and it is dx9 capable . thanks all .. also i know im building an amd and he a intel , but , i will still say, build your own , that way u know what you have and therefor know the exact drivers to download for upgrades in the future. ps i don't know software i just use it , but im into hardware , tech by training and employment , a+ certified to learn that new os 98 [actually wanted to know more on dos memory management and they taught me 98, now using rh 9.0 for surfing with firebird this rocks ] gl hf

Definately build your own. If an idiot like me can build one with relatively no problems, you can too I am sure.
