Has anyone seen a clear firewire/usb2 enclosure for a 3.5" hard drive? I'd like to find a clear one and then mode my hard drive to see it in action.

Also does anyone have a link to the directions on how to do a mod to put a window in your hard drive? I can't find it now but there was an article listed on hardocp a few months ago.

    Thanks.

havn't seen one, but be carfull about opening the hdd cover. it's there for a reason. once spec of dust will be the kiss of death for it. It might not kill it right away, but one day that piece of dust and the drive heads will meet and it will be all over for it :(
I've gone too far and need to move on!

Yeah, I know its risky. But, I have an extra drive and thought it would be cool to try this, if I can find a clear enclosure. If I do kill the drive I won't feel too bad since its an extra and I can always just buy an external Lacie in that case.
