I am looking at buying an alienware machine but i am undecided as to go for the intel based model or the AMD model, I currently have an intel based desktop and an AMD based laptop and can see no signoficant differences between the two. However from waht i have read on the net AMDs 64 bit processer seems to be the way of the future, i was hoping ppl could give thier honest opinions on what they feel to be the best choice and maybe some reasons why? AMD64 bit or Intel P4?

It doesn't matter if you run it in 64 bit or not its still faster than Intel in 32 bit as well.

Not sure on the release date.

But I'm still putting a P4 and a P4C800-E Deluxe in the machine I'm building even though I may kick myself later.
