I'm wanting to get a top of the range graphics card, but I'm not sure which one to go for...The Asus Radeon 9800 XT/TVD 256Mb or The Asus GeForce FX 5950 Ultra V9980 256Mb. They are both around the same price.

Or does anyone have any ideas of any better cards than these two....under 300 that is :p
Any comments on these or any other cards would be much appreciated.

    Thanks chaps n chapettes :thumb:

Well, right now a Radeon 9800XT is the fastest card, so I'd go with that. It's $430 US, so I that should be under 300 pounds. : peace2: Mista K6

The best VPU at the moment is by far is the 5900 xt. By no means the fastest on the market but it is the best deal. I say this because it is slightly more expensive than the 9600 xt from ATI and can be overclocked easily to the same speed as the 5950. As long as you get a descent 5900xt from a descent manufacturer you'll have an amzing card for half the price:thumb:
What the fcuk happened to my sig?

Wow, I guess so, I never saw one of those. Unlike other budget cards, they still have a 256-bit memory architecture and 8 pipelines. Awesome deal :thumb: , thx for showing me that rugbydude. : peace2: Mista K6
