Due to problems with my DFI board (discussed in other areas), if I don't hear back from them/have problem solved by paydya, looking for another nForce 2 Ultra 400 board, I think I've narrowed it down to 4 choices. These will be used with 160 GB SATA HDD, 1 gb dual channel (512x2) Pc3200 memory, and Athlon XP 3000+, and Radeon 9800 Pro

    Abit AN7
    Gigabyte GA-7N400-Pro 2
    GA-7NNXP
    Asus A7N8XE Deluxe

Any thoughts? They all have SATA, 4 usb, and dual channel, and onboard LAN, any thoughts on which is better? not looking for MAJOR overclocking, maybe a little tweaking, mainly upgrading from my 1700+ (overclocked to 1900+) system I'm using now.....

Ok, since I'm a little new to the SATA thing, and have never done RAID (and not planning on it anytime soon) a couple of these boards look like the only SATA connectors they have are in a RAID setup, I can just use one for a single SATA HDD right? (I know, dumb newbie question....) and some even have 4 SATA plugs for RAID.....

i've head good things about both the Albatron KX18D Pro and the Shuttle AN35N Ultra. I maybe building a mobile athlon XP rig soon with the shuttle board due to its good price and features.

I'm a personal fan of the ASUS A7N8X Dx, great motherboard. Although i must admit that I havenít had an opportunity to test out the SATA components (and usually leave them disabled)
I've gone too far and need to move on!

Well, I ordered a Gigabyte GA-7NNXP from NewEgg today, hope it does better then this DFI crap I've got. Running a Gigabyte GA-7VXTE right now, for about 3 years, no real problems, maybe I should have stuck with them from the start.....
