I need a laptop, there is not enuph computers at my university so i want to get one. And i know i can get something more powerful in a desktop comp.... if i could easily transport it i would get a desktop system like this and overclock it:
    Mobile Athlon 2500+ (NOT athalon(!))
    Abit NF7-S
    Kingston 512 PC3200 or 3500
    Seagate Barracude 7200.7 120G
Nvidia FX5900 xt (I know it the cheap version, Best performance for the price)
    Antec SLK3700AMB with 2 120mm fan
Liteon CD burner and a dvd drive
    TOTAL 1100$ CAD

BTW i could get this system and get an used laptop like a PII 366 for 350$ CAD, but will i be able to get wireless internet on something this old?
Something else, where i cans find these in canada??In Québec if possible.
Note: the E-machine M6805 is real nice!!

You could probably do better than that with $1100 CAD.

Argh, a P2. I wouldn't go that cheap. At least a higher Celeron, a P3, or a low-end Athlon XP. Anyway, you can get wireless if it has a USB port. It works just as well as any other way of doing it. You should be able to tell whether you can get wireless on a laptop by simply looking at it or its specs.
