    Used with msi k8n neo2 platinum and Athlon 64 3500.
    Its cheap so I am kinda skeptical.

    No way.

    For overclocking an Athlon 64 system (or any system, really), Crucial Ballistix PC3200 is the best choice. It can overclock way past PC4000 speeds and is a top performer. Get two sticks of it. In any case, it's very unlikely you would ever want the RAM at those speeds anyway. It's generally best to keep the RAM around DDR433 for an A64. If you managed to overclock the reference clock (mislabeled FSB or HTT in many BIOSs) to 250MHz, then you can up the RAM that high. However, Athlon 64s perform almost as well without the extra memory bandwidth (and sometimes better due to the lost performance of inferior RAM latencies), so you may very well end up leaving it around DDR433 speeds and bringing the multiplier back up, if you lowered it.
