Default Lots of PSU's what one do I pick?

OK, I am building a system for My friend and I want to make sure he gets the vest power supply he can. Price is not an isue.

Here is what we have proposed:

MSI K8N Neo2 Platnium, Athlon 64 3500+ 90nm winchester(boxed), Patriot Signature Series Dual Channel Kit 184-Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC3200, Seagate 80GB S-ATA, and he hasent decided wether he wants a X800 or a 6800 I think he is leaning towards the 6800 though.

What would be the BEST choices for us to use in that build?

For stock speeds I wouldn't go below a quality 480W one but if its going to be overclocked then go higher still.

Stick with quality PSU's, such as Antec. a good 400w psu is going to be better than a cheap 450w. If your looking to add more hard drives, more powerful vidcards or the like you might wanto have a look at the Antec 550w.

Only go Antec if you're being guaranteed (with a return promise) of getting one of their new modified revisions. Early dual-rail PurePower series units can cause huge compatibility problems with the new s939 motherboards. Antec has addressed this issue but only in their revised models. If you cannot get this guarantee, I'd go with the Thermaltake 480w (I use the Butterfly version myself) and you'll have plenty of clean power and stability to boot.

I've tested the 410, 420 and 480w models and all provide very stable power flow to all voltage rails. I use the 480w Butterfly because I like the alternating lighting effect it has.
