thx for your reply, yea case but i got the moniter & keyboard so..i dont need that stuff but im talkin about case & the hardware =P
Case: Pick out something you like, I would recommend Raidmax for decent, inexpensive cases.
DVD-RW: Pioneer DVR-109 - $57

Hard disk: I would move your existing 120GB drive to this system
RAM: Corsair Value Select 2x512MB DDR400 kit - $80

Motherboard: Chaintech VNF4 Ultra - $83

CPU: Athlon 64 3000+ Winchester - $130

Video card: Sapphire Radeon X700 PCIE - $109

Power supply: Enermax Noisetaker 420W ATX2.0 - $76

I'd change the PSU tp this. Better ratings on almost everything (including being 480W) and it's cheaper. I'd also try to find a way to fit a 6600GT in. A cheaper optical drive can be had, if necessary. The video card is certainly more important.
I also recommend Raidmax for cheap, but good cases. This is mine, except it has room for two exhaust fans in the back, rather than the one shown in the picture.
Your existing system with the 20GB HDD could make a nice Linux router/firewall/server or something along those lines.

I dont recommend Thermaltake power supplies because of the low 12v rails, but I guess its adequate in this case.Originally Posted by Yawgm0th

No. The thermaltake has a total of 18A on the 12v. The Enermax has over 30A combined on the 12v (18+18).Originally Posted by Yawgm0th

Hehe, missed the second 12v rail there.

Now you know why I prefer Enermax to Thermaltake PSUs. In fact from personal experience the TT supplies are more suited to an AXP or older P4 machine with less-power hungry components and graphics cards.
