    Default which ram to get?

    Ok here are the choices:

    choice #1
    choice #2
choice #3 The timings of this suck like most pc3500 around here.

    choice #4
choice #5 or get two of these
    choice #6

This ram is going to replace the 2x256 in my main rig. The prices are similar and must remain under $200cdn. I am kinda leaning towards #1, #4, #5 or #6. If there is any other sugestions from the same website I would love to hear them.

All your choices look pretty good, but I would check out Newegg.com. Newegg was $40 cheaper on choice #4 and they have the same stuff as the other company you chose.

#2. The OCZ GOLD VX 3200 is simply the best out there right now. Can your motherboard supply 3.3V to the Vdimm? If not, go with #1 when it's back in stock. OCZ makes the best IMO and they have the best customer support too. I got the #2 from them and it was at my door in Mississauga, Ontario in 23 hours even when I used Paypal.

Just go with the first one. Since you have an unlocked processor you don't really need the PC3500 to overclock and if you need to go just a tad over 200MHz the PC3200 will handle it, but if I doubt the PC3500 will handle CAS 2 if you try it. You'll most likely get best performance from the PC3200.

That's my recommendation without browsing the site. Any CAS 2 PC3200 would be best for you, so if there's something cheaper from another company, go with it.

If you want a wider selection and/or a much better price, I'm quite sure you know an American or two who would smuggle something from Newegg to Canada with the help of the mail and Paypal.

I suggest to stick to NCIX. It will save you any worries about importing anything and you will get it quickly. Someday our government will do something about the ridiculous import fees imposed on items over $20. The US allows up to $200 to be imported without fees. Thanks Canada! Paul Martin
