Without checking Canadians prices and just doing some adding and loose converting in my head, I'd say this would be good:

DFI LANParty NF4 Ultra-D, or DFI NF4 Ultra Infinity if that's too expensive
    Athlon 64 3000 or 3200
6800GS or 7800GT if there's lots of money left (but it's not as important as the RAM, see below)
1GB stick of RAM, get a second one later. If there's a lot of money left, get two now.
80GB SATA hard drive, preferably Seagate

You'd better get 2 gigs of RAM now, BF2 will hiccup with 1 gig with everything at high settings.

You could have had 2gigs for just a few bux more...I have this and it works great. Clocked 2-2-2-5 @2.8 volts.

Yeah, you have to turn textures down to Medium if you don't have 2GBs of RAM. It might work at High with 1.5GBs since you have a high-end video card, but you really would have been better off getting more RAM.

Yeah I knew about this already. I bought 2x512 GB plus Iím using another 2x512 from my other system. But one thing. Yeah I ordered all the parts already and I had to part with the case because I never had enough for everything. So I don't think I can spend anymore on RAM.

    My older RAM is pc2700
and the ram I got is pc3200.

Will there be a problem with that?

The only problem will be that you will limit your PC3200 by your PC2700 if it doesn't run at the same timings or speed that your 3200 can. If you are going to keep it this way you could probably have saved some $$$ and gone with some value RAM.

You'll also hurt performance by running four 512MB sticks, but not by a huge amount. Even with the PC2700 you'll get acceptable performance. My recommendation would have been to sell your PC2700 and get dual 1GB sticks.

Sweet....I would read up on "professional" reviews as well as customer reviews (newegg has lots but take them with a grain of salt). You won't be dissapointed with any of the hardware that has been mentioned. I have seen that a few recent games (Quake 4 with a patch is one) actually use the two cores but also don't show any noticeable frame improvement. Also, AMDs FX (gaming) chips are moving to dual cores, so it seems the transition to dual core gaming is upon us. Dell just came out with a QUAD 7800GTX core system using an "nForce 4 SLI 16 motherboard". I'm not sure of the specifics, or if it is in any way similar to Gigabyte's 2 core on one card setup, but if quad GPU cores sounds sweet, it may be worth finding more info on and plan for now for future upgrades.

I think 2-1 gig sticks of RAM are what you need, I would recommend a dual core AMD of your choice (even though Intel's latest 65nm chips are much better than their older ones). I would still recommend at least one Raptor. I don't think you will be disappointed in the least with a good 7.2k drive...but I love being the first in the levels on BF2 (and other games) giving me the pick of the vehicles (I do have 3 74gigs in RAID 0 just for games...not sure how one will do).
