Default Buying a flatscreen; advice needed

I need a fairly cheap LCD display for my parents computer, no high performance stuff, as long as you don't get headaches and stuff from it, it should be OK. There are tons of different models out there, so I could use a few pointers. It should be at lest 17", preferably with 1280*1024 res, although that's kinda rare with anything below 19" afaik... What should I look for?
    Some brands I've looked at:

    Iiyama - Iiyama Pro Lite E438S-B0S 17' Black, Iiyama ProLite E1700S-B1 17" 5ms Black
    Hyundai -
    Hyundai 19 LCD N91S, Hyundai 17 LCD N71S
    LG - LG 17" 1717S-GN LCD
    Samsung - Samsung 17 710N Silver
    NEC - NEC LCD 72VM 17" Silver-Black

Low power consumption is a plus...
Appreciate any help I can get on this..

Personaly I would go with the LG or Samsung, though Hyundia is supposed to be good.

Get the largest screen you can afford. Also, the 19" Widescreens out now are quite affordable and worth the extra.

Where do you get your stuff from? That would help me to look at what is in your price range to give you some suggestions.

I also like LG and Samsung stuff. Acer makes a wonderful inexpensive 19" Widescreen as well. If there is no game playing, response time is meaningless. Try to stay over 400:1 Contrast ratio as well.

I'll either get it from Poland when I visit later this month, or here in Sweden, so unless you speak either language, it might be difficult to read the websites, bu I'll put them up anyway..

For a gamer, yes, this is a must. But this is for his parents and I highly doubt they will be gaming. I would not be afraid of 16ms screens for a non gaming PC.

What exactly are they going to be using this PC for? What apps and so forth and will there be any 3D game playing on it?

I would recommend that you go to your local comp shop and see what they have, I just got a 19" CRT (1600x1200 was the only info that came with it.)
for 75 USD! It works fantastic in games, it must have a low response time.
