It looks to be a very solid system and Vista will have no problems working on it. With regards to the added sound board, are you an aodiophile and have needs for better sound? Granted the Realtek sound on that Asus board isn't as good, but I've found that onboard audio handles my needs well.

THe onboard will sound better than that soundcard he listed. I am an audiophile and the latest Realtek AL888DD will amaze you. Plus it outputs in true digital if you have the speaker system to do it. Skip that soundcard. Also, why get the SLI board when they are not that great for clocking. Get yourself a 965 Chipset board like the P5B and skip SLI altogether. If you really want dual GFX slots, get a 975X based board as they will run Crossfire natively and SLI with hacked drivers.
