I'd go for the samsung 226BW monitor instead of the viewsonic. It has a lower ms response time and a much higher contrast ratio. Plus it looks cooler in my opinion.

FOr one, a Core 2 Duo system will be cheaper and outperform anything AMD has. Also, a single 8800 GTS 640MB card will eat those 7950GT's alive and cost less, unless you already own them. You also did not list your motherboard choice. Lastly, getting a blue-ray burner is really a poor idea since they are 10000% overpriced because of the lack of demand.

first of all, i know its probably not the best idea but im partial to amd procs.. always have and always will, they perform better in some areas that intel's dont... + the eqivalent of the 6000+ is gonna be like $6 more...

the mother board is an Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe nForce 590-SLI

    OMFGzzeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
    5-7 fps difference WOOWOO

im running eVGA cards... the 8800 gts 640mb is +15 and will put the box over $2000... which is what my student loan allows for... + 2x 7950's = 2x 512mb = more than 640mb

actually, the blueray im getting from a friend... the only reason im getting it is so i can burn b-ray dvd's for my ps3

You know, you're eventually going to upgrade to a DX10 card, so why don't you go ahead and do it now?

... got the computer in monday.. to way to farcking long and on top of that the motherboard was DOA. i called the company and they said i had 3 options.
    1. pay them for another motherboard, install it myself, and send the dead one back to them and get my money back
    2. send them the computer, wait 2 weeks, and get it back, "hopefully working".
    3. pay over $100 cuz their assf*cks**(ill explain later) and ship the pos back to them, for a full refund.

i chose to wait the two weeks, im not about to pay again for something that i already paid for.

**when they shipped the computer to me via FedEX, they claimed the value @ $99 so they wouldnt have to pay an insurance premium, basically, they wanted to pay as little as possible. when there in a valued ammount less than $99, the package is treated like ****. trust me, i work for UPS. when the value of the package is between $100 & $500 its not purposly thrown and dropped, just accidentally, but when the package has a customer claimed value of $500-$5000 its treated like god. back to the story. they said they would not accept the package from fedex UNLESS I CLAIMED THE VALUE OF THE PACKAGE @ $1500. i was pissed, you dont have to claim the value but i do? WTF? i told the customer rep to shove it up his ass.

so now im stuck waiting another two weeks. turns out ill finally get my computer, in hopefully working condition after two freaking months of ordering it.

It really is a pain that things arrive DOA.

I had a $120 wireless router die after 7 months. The thing just quit. To make matters worse, they won't cross ship and I have to pay for the shipping to California. Oh the fun...
