    Default motherboard with brilliant compatABILLITY

hi i am buyin new parts q6600 go step
4 x 1 gb crucial ballistix 1066 mhz pc 2 8500 (to match the bus speed of the quad)
Zotac GeForce 8800gt 512mb (will buy another wen got mo money)
    i hav a good 600 w psu already

the problem i got is i dont know what chipset to go for which 1 is gonna last?

can people suggest a good mobo to run with all the above plus it has to be an sli board with good quality over clockin features

also i read sum where that 8800 cards in sli give a 50% increase in power compared to 1 card on its own but i read a 3850 can give a 78% increase over 1 card on its own which 2 cards together would work better

i already have all the other parts as im just upgradin my pc

There is a few good ones and the thing is your going to get some very stong opions on this subject. I just built a new system with the Q6600 and I'm using the MSI P6N Diamond. You can overclock that board with little issues, and it's been working great so far for me. I'm using OCZ Reaper 2x1GB PC6400 800Mhz Ram, but it will take what you got. My buddy has the same CPU and he's using a ASUS P5N32-E SLI LGA 775. He loves that MOBO, I think he's running the same RAM you have.

    Good Luck.
