Default New guy here building a PC with questions

Whats up guys, i have a few questions im hoping you could help me out with.

So far ive only purchased the motherboard. I got this board...
    Newegg.com - ASUS P5Q LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

Now for the board it says "DDR2 1200" for memory

I want to pick up this memory...
    Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

and it says "DDR2 800". Whats the 1200 and 800 mean? Will this memory work with my board?

I will also prob pick up this processor...
    Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops

    Im liking this case
Newegg.com - APEVIA X-JUPITER-JR G-Type X-JPJGT-BK Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

Anyone have experience with this card?
    Newegg.com - ASUS EAH3870X2/G/3DHTI/1G Radeon HD 3870 X2 1GB 512-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Will it work with my board?

Just trying to get info on my choices before i buy.

Dude, newbie to the board here too. The Core 2 Duo E8500 is on sale at the egg for $189. I paid $198 for it just last week. Thats just $15 more to get to 3.16ghz. It's worth it.

The best piece of advise I got from friends was to make sure you match up all the numbers. The 1200 and 800 numbers are bus speeds for the memory. If the mobo can handle 1200 then you may as well get 1200. The 800 will work, as will anything in between. I see you picked G skill 4gb because it is on sale? Well here are some other options:

Here are 2 options under $100 with 1000 speed, one even has a nice $30 rebate:
    Newegg.com - DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000), $75 - $100, 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM, 4GB (2 x 2GB), Desktop Memory, Memory, Computer Hardware)

If you are willing to go a little oover $100 there are even more options:
    Newegg.com - DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500), $100 - $200, 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM, 4GB (2 x 2GB), Desktop Memory, Memory, Computer Hardware
