O.O. I think it's an investment. At least you'll be able to play every game maxed out for the next two years.

I'm sure you'll be satisfied with your new rig both as a gamer as a renderer.
I have the GA-EX58-UD5 board and the Corsair TR3X6G1333C9 6GB RAM kit and I as far as recognising the full 6GB is concerned, it had some problems. It recognised 4GB only. Was a mobo BIOS issue.
If you have same problem, be sure you have latest BIOS and install a RAM socket at a time between reboots. That will most certainly fix the recognition issues.

Like seriously, the most demanding game I know of is ARMA: Armed Assault, and i can run it @ 1600X1200 Fully Maxxed out and get over 50 frames per sec on a E8500 and 8800GT. Why would you possible need so much extreme power cause when the newer games that need it come out there will be something ten times better available and it will be 4 times cheaper.

Indeed! You have a point there.
And when we go for serious work in 3D rendering, the applications doing it don't use more than 4GB of RAM!
The most important issue here is, I suppose, the QUAD Crossfire. These days are more than enough problems with CrossFire as it is already! ONE card is more than enough for now.

lol, but if i had the money I would have an extremely overdone PC set up, so yeah. Long live overkill.
