Hey all I'm looking to get a laptop for no more than about $700. I'd prefer a thin lightweight laptop with a 14" or so screen....however I would go for a 15" or 15.6" if it's cheaper. I've been looking at the HP Pavilion DM4-1060us but it's on the expensive side.

Another thing I'd like to have is dedicated graphics, but that's also costly. So I'm thinking of getting a core 2 duo instead of an i5 to same money and get dedicated graphics. My question is about battery life and heat then....aren't the i5's more efficient on battery life? And also in terms of speed running Windows 7 is there a big difference? I typically like to get newer technology so it "lasts longer".

I have also looked at the dell 14R.

Any suggestions?
