    Question Quick graphics upgrade.

    Question for myself...

I'm running an AMD Athlon X2 setup with a Radeon HD3870 video card. What's the best graphics shot-in-the arm for around $100?

My video card is starting to overheat a bit, even after cleaning and new Arctic Silver 5, and after 3-4 years, starting to freeze to black screen for a few seconds a few times an evening. Just looking for a quick easy upgrade on a budget. Hoping to build an entire new system later this year if I can find the ever-elusive gainful employment...

    Thanks!

That's kind of what I was thinking. The three games I play the most are WoW, CoD:MW, and Fallout 3, so nothing hugely demanding like Crysis or Far Cry 2 or anything... yet...

It should handle those games,of you wanted to spend a bit more then maybe the gtx460 1gb,but the 5770 1gb isnt far behind it and its cheaper

Those are good suggestions by Wazza.

A key question is what is the size of your power supply and do you plan to upgrade it too?

To help decide on a video card upgrade, you might want to review some of the information at upgradevideocards.com.
