    the 7 & 9 are constructed mainly of Aluminum

    the 7+ is all copper

    there are other differences as well - but that's the big one:thumb:

    If not overclocking then you may get away with using the standard Intel packaged heatsink.
    It'll make your computer much easier on your ears :thumb:

    My friend has a 2.26ghz P4 with stock HSF and that idles at like 35 degrees and with only one case fan.

    sadly I'm puuting it together myself and don't think that it comes with a fan

    either way i like to have some options

    That is one hell of a gaming rig, i'd say it can compare to or even beat the top amd based machines out there... I will not comment the sis chip though cause i have not got the experience to do it.
    You could always choose VIA, but i used VIA a couple of years ago and found that is was not as stable as Intel. (tried many mobos during my p3 period) The best choise for you is Intel with rdram instead of ddr, but unfortunately this may cost you a bit more, but it WILL make your system faster. About your choice of graphicscard i can agree with the other members, you should choose a genuine ATI card instead.
    Damn man, that is a fast rig... ;)

    I have changed to an ATI graphics card, replaced the speakers and gone with the volcano 7+.

    Should have most of the bits by saturday.

    Will let u know how it works.
