Default Re: Is all the hardware compatible?

Buy a high quality 128 or 256MB ssd for an o/s boot drive!!
Will your image design software run better with 16GB of memory? 32GB?
Your "too tall" memory might be a problem with your cpu cooler if you want to upgrade to a 4 memory module setup in the future.
Their website says that there is only 42mm clearance for the closest memory slot.
Are you going to install one or more cpu cooling fans with higher CFM or static pressure ratings?

I'm not sure how well the current z68 bios support is if you want to upgrade to an Ivy Bridge cpu in the future.
Verify that your z68 motherboard won't have any issues with UEFI and your 3TB hard drive; search using: uefi 3tb for more information.
Other forum members can tell you about any current issues with mixing Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge motherboards and processors.
How much are you saving by going with an i5-2500k/z68 setup instead of an i5-3570k/z77 setup?
I think that you will be better off with an Ivy Bridge motherboard and cpu.

Are you going to buy a suitable UPS/line conditioner to protect your system from voltage spikes?
If yes, check out the CyberPower USP units at Newegg.com - Power Protection, UPS, CyberPower, 1001 - 2000 VA
The CyberPower "PFC" models have universal compatibility with power supplies, the "AVR" models might have compatibility issues with some power supply models. A web search using ups modified step wave provides links relating to possible UPS issues from any manufacturer. Both of my Seasonic made power supplies don't have any problems with my lower priced APC step wave UPS units.

If you can wait a bit for the start of the holiday shopping season (mid/late November through new years), you'll find even better Newegg prices.

    **edit**
Be sure to subscribe to Newegg's daily and weekly email deals and don't forget to check out their bundled discounts that often are linked to some items.
