    Question New AMD-based gaming rig

    Good afternoon! I'm currently looking for new hardware in order to build an AMD-based gaming PC and the following is the configuration which, so far, I like most, even though I still haven't made up my mind about the GPU. Do you have any suggestions for me? :)

    • Case: iTek Invader R03;
    • MOBO: Asrock 990FX Extreme 9;
    • PSU: Aerocool VP 700W;
    • CPU: AMD FX 9370 @4.4Ghz;
    • GPU: ?
    • RAM: 16 GB DDR3 @1066Mhz;
    • Cooler: Seidon 120mm water-cooling system;
    • HDDs: 1x 240GB SSD, 1x 2TB HDD;
    • ODD: Bluray drive;
    • CARD READER: All-in-one card reader.

    I's personally get a better PSU. Aerocool are not good at all... Go for a quality brand such as Corsair, Seasonic, SuperFlower, EVGA, Be Quiet!, NZXT, XFX etc. I'd go for faster DDR3 RAM too (at least 1866MHz with that CPU).

    I think the best GPU for the money seems to be the 4GB GTX 970 at the moment.

    Drop back the amount of RAM to give you more room on a graphics card and better quality PSU. SeaSonic is one of your best bets at the moment. Corsair probably second to them.
    Even these days 8GB of RAM is plenty for gaming.
    While ASRock mobo's are usually decent I would lean toward Asus, MSI, or Gigabyte over them.
