Hey everyone. Here's a question for you. Is it worth to buy a DVD burner yet.

Right now they're going for a little over $400 caanadian dvdrw and i think the dvd rw discs are around $2 i'm sure of that figure though..

    but it's only 4x

anyone know of price drops expected in the furture or anything like that..

    thanks for the info

If you can hold off for another 6 - 8 months, I'm sure you'll get a better deal as they become more mainstream.

At least this is what I'll be doing. CDRW drives have almost reached their limit (I believe 56x is the fastest we will get to) and then DVD burners will take over - much like DVD is replacing VCR.

like Mr T said, just wait a little while...dvd burners will get better and cheaper...cd burners started out similarly...i paid $350 US for my cd burner, I could get a similar one now for $200

the disks will also drop in price too as more manufactures start making them and become more common
I've gone too far and need to move on!
