Well, I've saved up a little and I'm planning to upgrade my aging system. My current setup is:

    Processor: AMD Athlon 1.4Ghz
    Motherboard: MS-6389 KT133
    Memory: 256MB PC133
Video Card: NVidia GeForce2 MX 400

I was only planning to spend about $500 (US), but I can go alittle higher if needed. Im mostly looking at a new case, mobo, and memory, but I might get a new processor aswell if it is needed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like a whole new system upgrade to me....nforce and that CAS 2 memory will do good in your new box...make sure you get 2 x 256...nForce 2 uses dual channel and although you can use just ine...much more perfromanced would be gained in a dual channel config. I don't see why you have to hold off on the V card...get a decent video card ..say Radeon 9500 ( non pro) and stick with that 1.4...

Thanks for the advice. I decided on the Corsair Ram and Epox, but I decided i could hold off on my proc and video card, so i spent more on the case and got a lian-li pc-60. Once again, thanks.

For your PSU I'd go with either an Enermax EG465P-VE (450 watt) or a (if you absolutely need this much), an EG651P-VE (550 watt)
