    Yes well the radeon 9000 is cheaper. And i agree with the athlon being a better choice. Altough the pentium 4 still has a good performance.:devil:

    I live in Canada and the prices are as follows from a dealer that I buy from ( hardware recommended) by you guys

    EPOX 8rda+ nforce 2 chipset $179 Canadian

    athlon 2200 $178
    2400 $235


    512 of pc 3200 $93 for each stick of 256mb (samsung)


    radeon 9500 pro 128 mb $319
    9000 128MB 139
    9500 128MB 268

    get the radeon 9000,and stick with the athlon 2200+

    the ram price is ok. where do u live in canada???

    It will most likely be cheaper to order most of the parts online avoiding the extra cost put on by the so called "middle man":devil:

    yes,,do becareful in buying online. and read their shipping cost, i've learn this beacuse i spended 40 dollars more beacuse they said i was spending more than 400 dollars on items

    Looks like a AMD 2200 or higher, 512 PC3200 (2 x 256 sticks), EPOX motherboard

    Still kinda of deciding about the video card.

    Are the EPOX comparable to Asus, MSI motherboards

    well,,EPOX and MSI ar doing the same right now. MSi boards are alway pretty nice looking with there hot red colour. O! u live in vancuvor? try goin to Brigeport Ricmond to buy computer stuffs. there is a whole streets of computer stores

    Intel have an advantage over amd in audio/video editing.
    In games it don't matter though..

    if you want a good cheap video card - get the 9100 over the 9000pro

    I can get them as cheap as $97cdn in the Toronto area - and they outperfrom the 9000 series by quite a bit

    wow everything is cheaper back east; I guess the market is alot bigger so the prices are more competitive
