Of course....you have a different board....
Asus "officially" lists Corsair PC3200 as compatible with my board....but they list only the 512MB module,CMX512-3200C2 XMS3202 v1.1, and that's a bit more than I need. In other words, I could only afford one stick, especially after losing my restocking fee and shipping on the OCZ ( :snip: <<OCZ) I guess that still doesn't tell me whether I'll have to up the voltage before I can boot with it installed......I've been looking for that answer all day.

BTW....I don't know if those "insane" settings are on this mobo....I think they are, but it's not like I can use them....

Yes well my new 8RDA+ and XP2600+ met today and kicked it off at first sight with no complaints at all about the dual XMS3500 (only my 8K5A3+ kicked up and needed jumpstartin' for it's XMS3200). :thumb:

I'll let it run a day or two of SETI w/u's 1st before I hit the BIOS and really see what's on the darkside. :devil win

    I'll be watching ya...
After reading through posts and reviews and websites....I ordered the XMS3500 last night. I saw that a lot of folks were using it with my board. Keep me updated as to how much OC you can get. :thumb:
Interesting side note about SETI: I ran into one forum that had a list of SETI benchmarks....the top scorers (Lowest times per w/u) weren't necessarily top of the line machines. They were just set up really well for performance. Any idea how we could perhaps do that with the team here? I like the idea as it's a real-world benchmark, and a little bit of friendly competition.

Yes I heard of the benchmark usin' a SETI w/u though I've never tried it probably as I've run so many different setups with it that I can just tell a good setup and this XP2600+ setup is so far averagin' 2hrs and 25mins for the 3 w/u's that it's returned so far (it's doin' what I couldn't get an overclocked P4 to do so far). :thumb:

Just wanted to update y'all....I've been OCed to 2125MHz for a couple weeks now. The new Corsair DDR was the trick. Runs stable and fast, but I'm still not sure how to precisely determine how fast it does a W/U....
