    Hi,

Could someone tell me the difference between DDR and dual DDR please.

If I am to buy dual ddr, is that the same as buying 2 normal ddr memory modules or is it different?

    Thanks.

This refers to the number of memory channels onboard. Most motherboards are single channel and thus only require one stick of memory but there are now a few dual memory channel mobo's around now (nForce, nForce2 and Granite Bay) which require 2 sticks for both channels to work.

Cool. I thought dual and single memory modules were totally different. Just like PC133 and PC2700 for example.

    Thanks for your reply.
