    hmmm if i get a new mobo i guess i would have enough to run seti@home 24/7 would:

    512mb pc133

    I run it on some old PII300/350/400/Celery 333's w/ 98SE and only 64MB - 128MB of memory.

    Well any old Pentium upwards will do though PII's and above are better but ya must use Method 2 explained here.

    i'll look for my old laptop, 128mb ram and p2 266, nuff?


    also does this take alot of internet bandwith.

    3 gig cable cap =


    and what would be the cheapest way to setup a home network? at the moment, i've just got a SMC network card on my PC hooked up to my cable modem and it's abit kx7-333 mobo so no onboard :(

    Yes ya should be able to do one w/u (work unit) a day (or close to) plus the 3GB cap I had in Sydney was quite sufficient.

    and how should i setup a network? buy another network card and crossover cable it to my laptop?
