virus!!! i think, or it caused by some app started with ur pc, check that out

    RUN- MSCONFIG
delete or disable unnecessary option ,and try to reboot ur pc see what is goning on there...

and i think u should describe more detail like what did u do before this position happened

Thx, I have already disabled all unneccasary programs. It seems to lock up at completely random times, no pattern what-so-ever. The only major things I did were Hook up a TV to my video card. That is now disconnected and disabled and the problem still persists.I started having problems after a tweak guide in which I went to MSCONFIG and changed some things. I switched it to Normal Startup Mode and that fixed everything, except the occational Lock up.

    Awaiting help,

At what stage is the freezing happening? Sitting in Windows desktop, during games..? If it occurs when you launch something then heat is the primary suspect. Your temps look a little high but not too bad, but they can shoot up under CPU load if the case doesn't have good airflow through it.

It seems to happon all the time. Even when just the desktop is there and no progs, like, ill leave for a few and come back and its locked. It also happins during games and such, like virus-scans.

It's a shame that ya didn't include ya room temp with those as it is quite important but are ya usin' the retail HSF with it because if they're idle temps then maybe ya are pushin' the thermal envelope but if ya usin' WinXP then go into the Control Panel/Admin. Tools/Event Viewer and see if any critical probs are bein' logged there.

I could be way off base here, but I can't help but wonder if perhaps there is some faulty RAM?

Wiggo, I went to the event viewer and there were slot or errors, here they are:

The Aspi32 service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

The device, \Device\CdRom0, has a bad block.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

The Aspi32 error mesg is listed so many times I lost count.

    Thanx,
