I would recomend Sun's Java, but since you don't seem to like it, i don't think I can help you much

btw, what don't you like about it?

I'm not sure, but I don't think M$ can offer VM as a download anymore

I also dont like the SunJava...it seems to be slower and alot more freeze prone than Microsofts, it also makes myIE unstable...Here is the Microsoft VM http://home.wanadoo.nl/jheroen/VM/#ms I found that in a 5sec google search

I also hate it, it caused my mother in laws xp pro to crash every day!

I uninstalled it after a few weeks of crashing and her pc is now running just fine with the real thing installed, MS Virtual machine for me, all the way..

considering M$'s stance on Java, I'd hardly call VM the "real thing"

I've been using Sun's Java for quite some time, and to my knowledge, it has never caused a problem on any of the comps I have installed it on

You are all light-years ahead of me, as I've yet to succesfully install the true SUN Java on my system.

Every effort to date has resulted in a hard lock story.
