i just installed window 2000, and i used it for around 1 hr to test things out ( like games). i shut down the computer. and now today, i opened my computer, there Was post, but after that, it gave me this error

NTLDR not found , press any key to restart. i did that, and still this crap shows up. I tryed to put my win 2000 to format the whole HD< it wont read my CD. (i set CD rom to first boot).

your bios settings are most likely incorrect. u need to specify it to boot from your hdd, not the cd. Make sure your hdd is being seen in the bios.

imo it is a case of a boot sector virus.
are u sure that the games u loaded were from reliable sources, if not then its time to fdisk.

If its the case that it is a boot sector virus, u can repair the boot sector with the win2k cd with sp3 or above if u have it. It will rewrite the MBR for u.

thanks i reinstalled window 2000. now, i face a new problem. when i want to install new software in from my cd rom or even from the internet , i get this error that says they can find autorun.exe and that i need to restart the program. and that the error will be sent to the error log. I am like WTF! Also, it does the sam thing with differnt files like .exe. I was wondering what i can do so i can install and use my softwares.

It now sounds like a hardware issue. Start checking things like your ram and cpu for issues.
