Thread: xp shut down faster?

    Once i tweaked xp to shut down much faster. Now i reinstalled xp and cannot remember what i did to shut down fast. Now it takes up to a minute before it shuts of. Does anyone know how?

    You might hit up some of the guides posted here at TweakTown for WinXP. I know that shutdown and bootup tweaking were covered. ;)

    If you go to regedit HKEY LOCAL MACHINE /system/current contol set/control. then on you right pane look for wait tokillservice,and set it to how you wan't. GOOD LUCK
    Mine is set 20000, thats 20 sec
