i don't have MSN messenger 6, so i can't say what it is doing but this was an issue with OE and M$ did deal with it by releasing an update for XP.
if you are one of those who just install critical updates, like me, then you should try checking recommended updates. i am sure it is there but whether or not it deals with MSN 6, i m unsure.

you don't like gaim messenger? i feel it is a replica of trillian and supports more IM clients than trillian does. btw it is available for windows too ;)

lol, I thought Gaim was only a AIM clone, I didn't realise it supported anything else

I downloaded 'Al's Messenger' which looks and feel like a just like a clone of msn messenger (:barf: ...never liked the way it looked or felt anyway)
    thanks asklepios

got gaim running the way it should be, apparently RH 9 has come with .59 and I had to load a plugin to get the msn protocol

only problem is it shows my email addy as my Allias, even though I have 'MiniBubba" in the config for allias...
I've gone too far and need to move on!
