    hey folks

i have a good few hundred MB in my various Windows generated TEMP folders.
is it safe to delete it all? could some apps still be using the files there?

    thanks!

Kill 'em. The only ones you might think about keeping are the ones that reside in a folder for your Windows Update. These tend to be the .cab files used for the installation of the various security fixes and such. Everything else should be very safe to dump. I always do. :)

Anything in C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temp and C:\Windows\Temp are usually safe to delete. Go ahead and get rid of them.
