    Hey all,

I have a dell inspiron 2650 1.5 ghz with 1 stick of 128 mb//and the other 256 mb. My computer runs great all the time its just when it goes into the standby mode. When i try to come back and do some work on it, it freezes up and I cannot even do a ctrl alt del to save my life. Sometimes the screen stay black and I have to power it off. I was wondering if anyone here has had that happen before and if there is a way to fix it.

    Much appreciated...

first of all you must post what OS you are using when you are posting a problem.
anyways i will assume that you have XP. is this install unpatched? i mean with out any updates installed.
MS dealt with such a problem by releasing an update long time back. if you haven't updated your windows...its time you did so :)

    strange? :?:
i found three MS knowledge base articles explaining similar problems but they all ask you to install updates but you are saying that you have all the updates.
