Is this a remote user that you invited? If so, press esc, and it will automatically disconnect them right away.

It if says someone is connected to your computer that you didn't invite, it is most likely a hacker trying to access your system, or is already in. In either case I would pull the cat5 plug and say bye bye.
I would then look into getting a firewall to prevent this from happening agian.
Your post wasn't too clear from what I was reading. So I hope this helps.
Maybe someone saw something diffeent and can give you some better suggestion

You almost had it. You need to add another switch to tell it exactly what you want to do, as follows:

    -l (log off)
    -s (shutdown)
    -r (restart)
    -a (abort a shutdown)

So, with what you had, you need to add -s in there. It'd look like

    shutdown -s -m \\computername

It will if you have rights on the other computer to shut it down... Why not just try it?

    What are you entering?

As an example. if the remote computer is called 'PC1', then you'd need the following -

    shutdown -s -m \\PC1

Do you have a connection to the PC you are trying to shutdown?
