Hope somone can help me with my everlasting problem.

when ive installed my audigy player drivers the windows starup sound/melody plays 2 times.

If i disable it in control properties/sound options it still plays 1 time, this is a real pain in my ass and have been for some years now.

Please tell me how to get rid of that melody that comes when windows starts.

    Got win xp pro.

    Thx:shrug:

you were having both WinXP and Creative's startup sound loading at start up. you disabled WinXP one but Creative ones are still being loaded.

look for it in your Creative Control Panel, which should be somewhere in Start --> Programs.

It's the Creative EAX sound and another way you can get rid of it is to go to Start>Run and type MSConfig. Then under the Startup tab untick anything to do with Creative and/or EAX.
